Sessions for Performance Dogs

Does your dog take off when you remove their leash in the agility ring? Are they sniffing and acting disinterested or disconnected? Is your Nosework dog barking in the car in the parking lot? Are you frustrated about your dog's performance? Are they higher than a kite and can't concentrate?

Success in the ring is built on small skills and behaviors outside of the ring — I call them the in betweens and befores. We can build these skills through a series of games and expectations for behaviors. I like to train these skills out of context before adding them to a practice or trial environment. Whether it's agility, obedience or nosework, these outside the ring skills are vital to a good performance in the ring.

We will also look at and address a dog’s comfort level and emotional state at practice/class and/or at a trial through intentional exercises and set ups.
